Have you found a new love for the outdoors during Lockdown?
Would you like to keep connected with others over this time?
We complete nearly 150,000 steps each, every month whilst meeting new people!
Cannon Hill Park Walking Group (mixed group)
Girls Outdoors (female walking group)
Lunar Network organises fun walks for walkers in their 20s, 30s and 40s. We have regular leisure walks throughout the month, followed by a tea and cake break! All our walks are social walks only, we do not provide guided walks by qualified instructors.
We have 2 walking groups, the first is 'Cannon Hill Park Walking Group'. This is a mixed gender group with walks starting and finishing in the park. This is a easy level walk which covers approx. 5 miles and is suitable for beginners.
The second walking group is 'Girls Outdoors'. This is a female only group and is suitable for more intermediate walkers who like to explore some small hills and places around Birmingham and the Midlands, the pictures on this page are taken from our recent walks!
Our group is open to everyone from all backgrounds to join, but we are very keen to get women and women from BAME backgrounds into walking as representation from this segment of the community is very low in groups across the UK. We would love for you to join our Facebook and Instagram pages, and to share these with your friends and family to join our online community!

RULES FOR THE WALK WITH REGARDS TO GOVERNMENT GUIDELINES:
Group numbers will be capped so please book soon if you wish to attend.
We will try to adhere to a 2m rule where possible, however, a 1m social distancing will be required during the walk at all times.
At the beginning of the walk, we will insist that everyone uses hand sanitiser.
If you are contacted through "Test and Trace" and have walked with us within the previous 48 hours, you must notify us and we will pass on to those that have walked.
Please remember to continue following government guidelines and do not attend if you feel unwell, have had a cough / temperature / loss of taste and smell in the last 14 days or self-isolating and / have been near someone that has had coronavirus in the last 14 days.
We do not take any liability, everyone is attending at their own risk and is responsible for their own safety.
PHOTOGRAPHS / VIDEO:
Group photos / video are taken at all our events for public use. If you are not happy with having your pictures / video taken then this may not be the right group for you. We would like to respect your personal wishes and would discourage you from attending any of our events/joining as it is impossible for us to monitor this in a group setting.
We take regular photos / video to share our work, should you choose not follow the guidance provided above and attend anyway then there will be a charge of £100 for each photo you request to be removed, £300 for each video, to cover the loss of each to us.
